Does this look right?

I am test fitting these screens but they are too big and rest on top the square bolts. Am I supposed to trim the screen to fit or let it rest on the bolts?

Maybe you need to bend the edges a bit more. Just a thought.

Hi Brian

When I fitted them on my intake grills I folded them down so they fitted past the bolts, this required a little bit of trimming.

What I think your supposed to do is fold them 90 degrees so the mesh sits atop of the intake, that way it also give you clearance to fit the finer mesh if so desired.

I couldn't figure out how the crews fit the screens onto the grills, so I imagined how I would do it in the field.

I simply welded the mesh to the grills so that it held the screen securely. Crude, but effective, I guess.
I suppose the mesh got bashed about regularly in the field, trod on and such, and occasionally replaced or repaired.

trim to fit, and hold on with thin wire loops around both the mesh and the grill, not pulled to tightly, some small weld points all around the edge of the mesh, kent wiik has posted on this subject before, i am not sure if this is a factory fitting or a field mod but there are photo's on this subject here on the forum, regards simon.

It’s running more or less perfect at the moment. The only thing I hate is one sides tracks look too tight. It really thrashes and tears it up now! I’ll regroup and put the rest together now.
