Yes, it´s the same track width. Actually, the tracks you see on the pics are KT tracks. The new At tracks are as shiny as the Stug tracks.Tom Wittstock wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 2:28 pmQuestion for you, did the Jagdtiger require wider tracks then the King Tiger or were they the same as the King Tiger tank?
Thanks Tom

Re: JT in Germany
Not enough space. A whole battery is in the way. In trhe rear, I only have "half" a battery space, and in the front, the battery is too wide to fit between the motors. Thus waiting for the LiFePo....Chang wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 4:29 amJust thought of an idea for this "Too small" Jagd Tiger:
(1) Replace two speakers into the casemate, then
(2) Move two large batteries backward to the end of the hull, or
(3) Move one backward and the other one forward as much away from the casemate as possible.
(4) There should be enough space for other option packs.
It maybe worth trying ....

While waiting for the new batteries and exploiting a lull in the rain, I decided, though not finished yet, to take the cat out for a test drive... Enjoy:

Re: JT in Germany
Thx Chang.
Cat´s not ready yet. Rough guess is about twice my weight
Haven´t had her on a scale, but my guess is about 160 kg at the moment. But will be aprox 20 kgs less, once LiFePo got installed.
Cheers
Peter

Re: JT in Germany
Hi Peter
This would be great if possible. We are going for a build day again on Saturday, where we are building the terrain structure, planting some trees and vegetation.
Will put up a couple of pictures. The driver platform is ready, so that a good overview of the battlefield gives a perfect driving experience

Re: JT in Germany
Hello Peter,
20 kgs are a lot of weight to spare, you will see. I got this experience also in my Jati and was very pleased about that.
Nice battery pack. It comes together with a BMS, I suppose?
A strong battery also needs a powerful charging device. In my models I use both types of battery packs, with BMS and without. Therefore I needed a charging device with balancer, and I chose the Junsi iCharger 4010 Duo with 2 x 1,400 watts charging power. It has a maximum charging current of 70 amps (hardly needed) and a balancing current of 2 amps, a strong value. Most of other balancers can handle only 1 amp balancing current or less.
Please keep in mind that this charging device needs a seperate power supply.

Thanks for the advice!! All taken into account. A special charger came with the battery.

On return from maintenance, a lone JT negotiates the woods....
