A few more pictures of the ongoing upgrades. I prefer to finish the model in order that you can play with it, and then upgrade it on an ongoing basis. You never really finish it do you?
Front rubber mud flaps fitted and the Chieftain cupola upgrade from Armorpax! A great addition!

Sitting pretty now with the GPMG mount, you'll rarely see a Chieftain in service without one. :|

Looking forward to seeing her out and about. 8)

Will the tank be staying all green or will it get a touch of BAOR black.?

Here you go John, the start of the BAOR camo scheme. I thought that whilst I am waiting for Armortek to collect my 2 failed motor/gearboxes units for repair then I might as well get on with this, as I can’t do anything else! Not finished though as I ran out of paint...

I could push it outside on the lift table 🤪🤪🤪, but I think that I’ll wait for the motor/gearbox repair in order that she can travel under her own steam 😀😀😀

Very concerning would be my choice of words! Not something you want to fail when your on your own; perhaps the next mod would be a set of inbuilt hydraulic jacks to raise the tank off the ground to put a couple of skateboards underneath for recovery

Looking good Mark. 13th/18th cap badge? Nice. I guess the RTR should be flattered that a Cav regiment would want to wear the RTR's black denims. The Scaleybacks used to try it on, saying that their 438s were "panzers" until it was pointed out to them that a radio wagon wasn't a tank. Or is it just a trick of the camera?
