Took a short break...started working on grills and engine hatch..little details 1st...made armored fuel cap covers and engine hatch locks..

Decided to machine down supplied square head bolts to help recess as much as possible...was able to shave 3/64 off....cutting down on the shoulder and the head......every little bit helps

Textured white metal castings and snorkel base cap by stippling to look more like cast..filled in back of center casting

Started engine deck grate screens using .030 stainless steel hard soldered

Hi Vince...my cables are fabricated out of stainless steel...I used a product from Caswell called stainless steel blackener... simply brush on or dip..wait a few moments then rinse off...I then give it a quick rub with an abrasive pad to highlight
