I was using it to cut some aluminium angle yesterday and couldn't find a cutting method which didn't turn the detached piece into a projectile. Appropriate as I'm making parts for a tank

I'm wondering if some foam along the back of the baseplate may act as a back stop and absorb their energy.
The other annoyance is that the saw blade teeth seem to catch the part as it disconnects, causing gouges of varying sizes. I would be interested to know if anyone has this saw and whether the resin blade would be better than the toothed blade

I'll only be using it to cut brass and aluminium.
Adrian.
