Looking good Aaron. Seems like just a week ago I was at that stage of the build (started my build in March).
I like the white interior - primer or finish coat? I left mine the UPOL etch primer gray.

Thank you....It's a primer enamel blend rustolem spray it's pretty durable once cured. The exterior is flat olive drab tamiya and will have a lighter dilute shade to highlight the mechanics the top clear coat will be cerakote clear ceramic. The Tamiya paint is more durable than I gave it credit for and also the color I wanted.... it's hard in this area to find decent spray cans in the amount i needed for some reason.

I bought a bunch of bottles of the Tamiya Olive drab but then switched to a Rustoleum Camouflage green spray paint which like the white you used, is a very durable finish. Slightly darker than the Tamiya but I was unsure how the Tamiya would hold up. I ended up using a lot of Tamiya and Vallego paint for the weathering and found that the Tamiya would have been fine, but still happy with what I used. I used many cans of paint for the M26, I think about 8 not including the primer. But I primed and painted all surfaces before assembly, then touched up afterwards.

Yeah I've been doing the same primer on everything if I had the rustileum I would use it next time. But I can't complain tamiya is not the toughest but better than I thought ceracoat on it it will be more than durable. I made the interior white much like the real tank so I could see inside to make any adjustments easier in the field ....I'm on the fence about weathering a model this size one trip on the dry lake bed it's weathered naturally cause it's a real fine dirt (very smooth surface)....which is all we have in the Mojave Desert.

I felt the same about weathering. It was hard to dirty up the tank after all that careful painting, but I added some light rusting, and some grime and a little mud splashing. I will post a couple pics in the next day or so.

Re: M26 Pershing 09 weathering powders

So found this waterproof interior exterior clear spray I use the Tamiya weathering pigments and this won't make the powders run it seals and waterproofs them and you can dullcoat over the top without the white chalky finish it makes on the pigments. Heads up both spray coatings are really smelly.
