What a lovely job and the Zimmerit is superb.
What have you used and what is your method?

This was my first attempt at Zim, I used wall tile grout mixed with a dilution of wood glue and water. Mix a bit firmer than tooth paste consistency and then applied with a drywall knife/putty knife. Used the set of zim tools from 6th Scale Icons FOA(which is not recommended anymore) to shape the rows in a vertical pattern. Small dowel rod with a dull point was used to then cut the horizontal and vertical rows. Don't extend yourself with area coverage as the material starts to cure in about 45 minutes. Once it has firmed to dry appearance knock down the rough rows and high points with sanding block.

Great, Thanks.
Just for a matter of interest which of the two available size 6th Scale Icons Zimmerit tools did you use?
Any idea why they are not recommended?

The tools are fine but FOA are no longer recommended as a supplier as they accept orders but never deliver, meaning people have to resort to CC companies, Paypal or the courts to get their money back.
Adrian.

Thanks Adrian, nice to know.
I have requested a set from Armortek as mentioned in their custom Panther G build thread.
I think I'll just send them an email to see what the state of play is with them.

Don't forget Armortek are closed for Christmas, back on the 3rd January.
