2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY
Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.
So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.
We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.
Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Hi Simon.
Great to see that your next project will be a king tiger, i am realy looking forward to what you do with this build. Just started my own Henshel turret KT so i should have plenty of inspiration following your build.

Steve

Re: King Tiger Porsche Turret Build
i know we have seen this stage of build before, but the fit of this kit is superb, the rear hull plate is already angled at the top edge, so no adjustment there, having built one before some filing was required, this one just falls together, i am looking forward to the zimmerit and the challenge of scale detail, anything of interest i will post, but we have seen most of the basic stuff on earlier builds, regards simon.

Re: King Tiger Porsche Turret Build
Hi Simon.
Good steady progress being made there.
Funny you should show your grills as these are the parts I am working on myself at the moment, I am making them myself so when finished I will post some pics (if I can get them to look anywhere near as good as Mikes examples I will be very pleased).
Keep up the good work

Re: King Tiger Porsche Turret Build
not much to report on my build at the moment, just a few photos of progress, early stages of zimmerit application, i reworked the armortek exhaust kit parts to this stage using files and mr dremmel, the zim paste is wall tile adhesive with added pva glue, the mike stannard application tools are a must, makes the job much easier, all the best simon manning.

Re: King Tiger Porsche Turret Build
Hello Simon,
I must say it looks very good and you must´ve worked hard at the exhaust pipe base as this is different to Armortek´s - could you show us how you did it?
I hope you´ll bring this Tiger II finished to Open day for all of us to enjoy.

Re: King Tiger Porsche Turret Build
nice to hear from you both, per its hard to describe without pictures but basically i cut a groove to act as the flange that bolts to the tank and worked backwards away from it, shaping with hand files and the dremmel, there is enough metal on the kit part to do this, i made the extra oval flanges from sheet alloy, what gave me the idea was freddies post and pictures of his exhaust, i printed them off and had a go, not as good as yours or accurate but a representation, if confused, i will see you at the open day, the tiger will not be with me, i am on a go slow due to house repairs etc, many thanks simon.

Hi Simon.
Great looking exhausts. You have got me thinking about reshaping mine now as i only rounded the edges off.
Regards
Steve
