Hi every one,
Yes its me and still alive. After some brake I have restarted my action to finish the rear of my early Tiger I. Most of all the Feifels hoses have been very difficult. But this is for a later report. By the time I was searching for informations on the Feifel
aircleaner I came across the exhaust covers on the early machines. And I have to say they looking so much better than the later versions in my eyes. So it was time to do a set of those. The picture I worked from most of the time is attached. A drawing was following and the material was 0.8 mm stainless steel for the laser cutting. My job than was knocking the ribbs and finaly bending the parts. Here are the pictures.
Best regards from Germany - Roland

Hi Roland,
Nice to see photos of your high quality build Tiger I again.
The exhaust covers look awesome.
Here is another good photo of one of sPzAbt.501 Tigers on the ferry to Africa.
#112, please note the brackets for spare track links.
Will you add those to your Tiger?
Here is another photo of what is left of #142 at Beja Tunisia that show a bit more of those brackets.
Kind regards
Kent

Lovely job Roland - they really look the part
Interesting in that shot of the 501st Tiger, that the tool box looks offset to the right.
And the strange patches on the exhaust guards on the lower Tiger.
Adrian.

Re: Creation of very early exhaust cover for my Tiger I
Thank you all for your nice comments. It brings back some of the motivation needed for finishing my Tiger. And Adrian and Kent, no I will not fit those brackets under the rear for attaching spare links. Some how I do not like the view - it looks not very proffessional to me.
OK will be back after finalising my Feifel hoses and brackets for those hoses.
Best regards, Roland
