It's a shame to paint it paul, looks soooo good. I like the mods you've done , top quality work as usual, the question is To Zim or not to Zim, personaly i would not,

Fantastic workmanship Paul :D

I especially like the work around the front fenders.

There is a very helpful tip on your site about fitting the track tags prior to assembling the turret.

Clive is right, your tank looks great all-metal/ without paint. :)

Paul,
Great job on the build :D .
Go with the Zim, it will be a nice contrast to your early Tiger 1.

Hi Dale,

She has already been test run and she preformed really well, although as yet she has no sound.

Just got some detail left to do on the back, then strip down Zim and prime, but I intend to give you weld solution a try as it looks easier than Milliput. I still haven’t decided which camo scheme to go with yet, although it will be an eastern front camo.

Hi Paul and Dale.
I tried Dale's method for the weld on the Tiger 1 re build i am doing...i stuck with the Milliput i am used to using but the tape worked well :D when i removed the tape tiny little tears appeared at the sides of the weld and these i simply pressed to either side as i think the welds needed to look a little less perfect but this is only my opinion from looking at the real thing at Bovington, but thanks for the tip Dale i will use this method from nw on.
Cheers Paul

Hi Paul,
Your KT is beautiful! Some added details make it more like real thing than a scaled model.

I like your idea, to let the front fillet (CK0636) attached with the front mudguard, instead of being screwed with the hull side. (See your photo)
Image

How did it attach with the mudguard? by super glue, or welding?:?:

Thanks!

Hi Lerh Chang,

I used silver solder to attach the fillet to the mudguard, you could braze it or spot weld it if you have the equipment.

Hi Paul,
Sorry to ask you a bit late of question.
Have you met any difficulty while installing the small tow cable? It's about 220cm in length, yet I've heard that it is still 10cm in short.
It looks so good on your KT though.......

Thanks!
Lerh Chang
