thanks guys.

nick - its on the running gear now and has been for about and week or two.

john - 98 link pers side as the manual suggests. yep, hanging for the motion pack. just recieveds my spektrum 11channel rc tx. can never have to many channels can you.

got to make fake bolts for the other side. 2mm screws with nuts loctited then body filler to fill the indent followed by sanding & paintinf. a tedious job but the outcome worth it. especially when you want small scale hex head bolts.

What fake bolts are you making. I have been working on miniature castellated nuts. I have 3 or 4 sizes at present. They are brass but I might cast some dummys in white metal. Try method is to solder two nuts together. File down the joint then cut the castellations with a hack saw. I have been looking at the kit but trying not to start. Have just started on detailing wheels and gear cases.
For small brass or steel hex heads I use bolts from micro fasteners.

Ray,
Milliput is a bit brittle once hardened and may chip or flake off. It could crack if the joint is not tight and the plates are moving. I wouldn't think it would crack under normal stress if everything is not flexing. Perhaps it was a bit too dry when applied? Use a litte more water to make sure it bonds next time. Even so it has its limitations, its more a static filler than a flexible adhesive. On the good side it should be easy to patch and repaint if the crack really bothers you. Otherwise it won't hurt anything to be cracked. I like milliput for zimmerit, it makes a tough finish.

Looking forward to seeing your P4 painted and weathered. I'm expecting my P4 to arrive in the next few weeks. I have enjoyed yours, Nick's, and Gunther's Pz4 builds a lot. Keep up the good work!

Best regards,
Bob

Hi Ray
I use Gripfill for my welds it is in a cartridge and the one you want is the green one
with the solvent in it.
It injects in a line and as its a glue it sticks real well. and you get about 15 mins to tool it.
When its fully dry about 2 days it takes paint as well.

Hope this helps

Derek
