After...if you look closely you can see the flush rivet...if you tilt your computer screen back a bit ...the flush rivet becomes more apparent !

Beautiful work on your Tiger! I think the rust on the rear exhaust housing looks perfect!
Any reason not to use a lazy susan bearing for the turret though? I find they rotate much better than the brass rings. Personal preference I suppose.
Super work - thanks for sharing!

Thank you Bob....I guess it is just a matter of aesthetics...I would love to build a tiger in stainless steel and brass and leave unpainted

Had a hour or so to kill so I knocked out drivers vent and installed it...I'm always amazed how the colors can change with the paint depending on the light !

I decided to make my own functional tow cables... I do like the late Mike Stannard's tow cables but the white metal casting renders them useless for towing.... ...having made my own I have Mikes tow cables to give away for free...just pay shipping..I'm in SW Florida...I weathered the cables with the stainless steel blackener....so happy with results

How I cut hard to cut cable...I silver solder then cut with Dremel...only takes a few minutes and works great ! and no fraying

hi Mark
Your cables look awesome! How do you get the cable bent around the tear drop sheave so tightly? And then stuffed into the round ferule? Are your ferules crimped so they can withstand the pull loading? Fantastic work on all the details. Really a superb build.
Best regards,
Bob

Hi Bob ...1st I turn then slide the ferrule on to the cable then I simply "tack weld" the cable to the thimble and to itself using medium strength silver braze I then slide the ferrule up tight to the pre tacked loop and silver braze the cable within the ferrule using a high strength silver braze...it is more than strong enough for my needs
