My apologies, I thought they were the other way round, but having checked, I see you are right:

"Loctite threadlockers are primarily designed to prevent fasteners from leaking or loosening from vibration. The difference between red and blue threadlocker is a matter of strength and removability. Loctite threadlocker blue is designed to easily be replaceable with common tools, whereas red is a more permanent fix. If you have trouble keeping it straight, here’s a helpful rhyme to jog your memory: “Blue, easy to make new. Red, full strength ahead!”

I use 222 for low strength bonds and 243 for medium strength bonds.

222 is actually purple - which I was remembering as red - and 243 is blue. The only high strength stuff I have here is 270, which is green.

Over the years I've found that if one runs one of these things enough nothing is permanent. Doesn't seem to matter large or small scale - if some bit can come loose it's almost certain that it eventually it will. Applying the appropriate laws of inconvenience it will happen at the worst time. I've just accepted that it will and try to do maintenance checks. I never assume any model is 'run and forget''. Years of running gas powered models taught me the hard way - never let maintenance slip.

But we all love our hobby right?

Hello Michael,

The King Tiger would have been left in Red Oxide Primer for the Lower Hull interior and Torsion Bars were generally black. Where the fighting compartment and turret is the colour was Elfenbein RAL 1001 which is an Ivory Colour. This information is from Wehmacht Heer Camouflage Colours 1935 to 1945 by Tomas Chory.

May I suggest M3x25 cap as nuts are m3 as used on ck0604?

Does anyone recognise this jack. It came with the kit when I purchased it and I would like to know its origin so that I might find out how to put it all together and fix it to the tank.
