A very quick video of my high pressure smoker doing it's stuff in the Tiger1 stacks, the sound of the fan is noisy right now but a rubber mount and the engine sounds will fix that.

I just had to manufacture the early track hanger that the 503 used, the only compromise is the way I have had to fix the hangers to the front plate.

Masterclass Phil, really enjoying this impressive build.

The last line is not strictly true, there was one other firer built by Winson/Modelworks. It to my knowledge was rarely used due to being rather expensive to discharge.
Fully loaded it would have cost £40 or there about's, (12x electrically fired maroons). The literature failed to mention that.
Rattled the factory windows when it was demonstrated to me, when the smoke cleared I thought they'd deafened me.
That ugly chap in the advert picture was just pleased to have completed the model before the company started making clocks.

Hi John, electrically fired maroons have their place, I use them mainly for batsims but like you said are expensive and very sketchy to load into that carosel, most have long firing wires so you can be at least 500mm away from the thing when you connect up, that carousel fully loaded had a mass explosive hazard big enough to take your fingers off maybe even your hand.
A little advice for anyone still using the discontinued blank firer, just use the percussion cap without the black powder load, it's still very loud and a whole lot safer. When I post a video of my 331 firing the effect will be huge as this unit is my mk 4, very different from the standard mech.it should rock the whole tank!
Some more progress on 331.

Hi Steen, no they are hand crafted from steel. They do look good with the smoke lifting them open and then gently closing as the engine stops, you do need a high pressure smoker for that to happen though.
