Great to see the line-up on the hill, my first time at Militracks and not the last I suspect. Sadly my camera was glitching so not all the pictures I took came out but I will post some more later when I have time. I also got some 4k video of the parade but as I know nothing about video editting it may be a while before I can post it. Anyway, one for now, more later :-)

Fiona and I made the trip to Militracks, all I can say was that it was a brilliant weekend worth every bit of the effort to get there. We were bowled over by the hospitality of our hosts, at Armortek Hill, the Museum, the village and the Campsite, we were made very welcome. If only Covid had not intruded two years ago, Kian would have been leading a bigger UK contingent by now over the channel.

The first thing was to explore the hill behind the Tank Park, I was at first apprehensive but both the Cromwell and Tiger climbed the slope with ease. The main problem was the sandy soil clogging the tracks when turning too sharply something that I quickly learned to avoid. However I was amazed at Riny's very casual attitude regarding the M3, whose tracks took it all with total disregard!

In front of the Tanks some full sized tracks left an interesting range of undulations for running over! The slope on the other side in the afternoon produced an area whose dry nature allowed the tanks to throw a stream of dust from the rear of the tracks, very impressive, I should have videoed it.

After we had touched base at Armortek Hill on Friday and found our Camp Site we came upon the Commonwealth Cemetrery. The battle at Overloon is the reason why the Museum is there in what is otherwise a small village. So while the event is something to be enjoyed, we could not fail to think of the past and present both and reflect.

So having been once, we want to go again, there is so much more to see at the event and to take in at the Museum. It is a veritable "cracking Show".
I need to thank Kian for providing the lead to attend and then to thank Kees and his team for their organisation and welcome, absolutely brilliant!

There was a Centurion as well... What could the future bring, a Sherman, a Comet or a Churchill?
