After some days with covid and no symptoms, it finally kicked in. :? Not fun, not recommended.
But have still managed do some small progress.

Countersunk bolts/nuts for the front reinforcement plates. Not quite decided if I'm going for bolt/nut or bolthead outwards. I know that bolt/nut are the correct way. But there was something visual appealing with the bolt heads🤔 Think I need to shot a mist of primer before I make a decision.

Have chamfered the sprocket rings, never found any info on whats recommended geometry, so went for 45 deg.

Hull progress has stalled for some time as I really would like the missing pannier gusset, but was unsure how to make them. By chance, I found out that there was a guy "almost next-door" that had a laser cutter. But needed a cad file for the parts. Asked Vince Cutajar if he might help, and minutes later cad files was in the mail😀 THANK YOU Vince👍
I really need to learn Fusion360 🤓

Back to the laser guy, and swoosh the parts was cut. Made 4 pieces, so Tor also got a pair.
Great day, got parts cut and found a new friend in the laser guy😃

The hull will now receive full attention, and stay upside down until its primed, Milliput welded, painted and weathered. 😀

You were lucky to get someone local to cut the strips
i had a local 'dreamer' who took 2 weeks to reply to me,i didnt like the sound of it,so went with an online cutter, who due to xmas took an age to deliver
but i have them and have started to install them on my build
ill post my results on my build thread
big thanks to Vince who also was right there with the CAD files

Not to much to brag about today, but have gotten myself a full etch primed hull. And started to mount som part. The half circle armour ring for the drive cases are original mounted with 2 bolts. I wasn't to happy with this as the lower portion of the ring would flex a but. Not a problem in it self, but might be bad for the Milliput weld line. So I drilled/tapped and countersunk for a M3CSK bolt, and with this addition the ring is rock solid.

Need to get me some putty to delete holes😉 before the Milliput welding starts.

I'm about to make some lift lugs for the exhaust armour. Anyone have any info on dimensions of these?

Work in progress on the hull is more of the boring stuff. Blinding of holes, sanding down, new layer of putty, sanding down, priming. Not worth sharing a picure of a dusty hull 😂

But would like to share what I got in the mail today 😁 I think these will look good on the big cat. A HUGE THANK YOU to Mr. Robert Tanzer for pressing these shields. Very nicely done, quickly delivered and at a great price. 👍

This will probably be my last post for some time. My wife has found a new project for me to do on our house🙄 Total remake of one of our living rooms (yep, got a way to big house) and a total rebuild of the main bathroom. So the closest I'll get to a Tiger, will be making zimmerit patterns on the wall before adding tiles🤣
Well, "Happy wife, happy life" and life goes on😂

Anyway, got my lifting lugs done on the exhaust armour. A quick job on the lathe, once I determined on the dimensions. Did them in brass, as I had a M8 rod laying in a drawer.

As I was to swing by my new friend, the laser cutter guy, we needed something fun to make. Had a plan to cut the original turret armour ring i 3 pieces, and drill the correct attachment holes.
A quick mail to Vince and once again he kindly helped us with a cad drawing. As seen on the YT, the laser cuts the 5mm steel plate like butter. Fascinating machine to watch😃
Unfortunately, my friends laser can only cut 90 deg to the table, so i have to cut/grind the outer bevel profile myself.

As I'm about to mix and play a lot with tile cement the next week, does anyone have the pattern for a zimmerit tool? Should be easy to make the tools, but I'm unsure of correct tooth profile and teeth pr cm.
Might as well practice making zim patterns in between laying tiles😉

Hi.

Just like to inform that I'm not dead, sick or fed up with the kit 😂

My absence from my build was planned to be a couple of weeks, as I'm doing some work on my house. But, starting to work on a 100 year old house is like opening Pandoras box🙄

So I still got a good month's work ahead before I'm done. I really miss working and tinkering with the kit, and seeing Gary's fine work and progress surely make my fingers itch😁
