Hi Robert,

Not a Tiger1 but here are pix of a Panther starter crank end.
Both was for the Maybach HL230 engine so it would look the same for the Tiger1

Kind regards
Kent

Starting to do the Rommel box on my Tiger.
OMG. What small the rivets are.
Every single rivet is secured and soldered.

Continued and soldering, hmm it never seems to end.
But now I probably see the end, this has been really hard for eyes, shoulders and trembling hands.
Oh all these reinforcement solders to do.
I'm glad it's done soon.

Time to fix the commanders hatch.
Filed and grounded the covers above the periscope.
Tests that the periscope fits.
Discovered also that there should be a wall behind the periscope as well, yes yes a little more fiddle with then.
Fixed a piece of wood to hold the wall when I solder the back wall.

After that I checked some book's and info about Late Tiger.
I found out that I have to redo the covers to the periscope.
In Sweden we say: Do it again and do it right. Yes Yes I know.
So I did some work in my cave to day on my mill for test, and if this not falls out well. I will do new covers in Brass.

Stay safe out there and have a nice day.
Robert

Ps. But I had to try the MG mount and have a look. :D

Nice work Robert.

In one of the photos there is a partial view of your MG 34. Does it have the armored barrel shroud? If yes from where did you get it? The one I have is a common MG34 as used by the infantry. I made a drawing of the front part to make it look like it has the armored barrel shroud as used on the Tiger 1. If I can buy one like that it would be better than messing around resin printing the barrel shroud.
