Hi Brian, do you have the motors, you will need to install them now as you go or you will have difficulty later?

Hi Brian
Looking good as Phil said get the motors in now otherwise its a major strip down to fit them later.
Also check the torsion bar ends fit in the brass bearing blocks some of mine didn't and I had to ream them out
which ment seperating the two sides to get access to the one with the countersunk hole.

Hi Brian,
that's true. Motors and gearboxes should now be installed. The screws for the countershaft must be inserted before the motors are tightened. You have no place to use it later because the motor mount is in the way.
I deburred the brass parts and, if necessary, inserted the corrosion springs with a long screw. - later tightened with the shorter one.

I ordered motion but won’t receive it for a while. Might use the King Tiger motors i have if they are interchangeable.

I made sure they fit before joining the two halves.

I've no idea if the KT motors will fit mate best ask the management!

I found out bad news that my KT motors won't fit will have to wait for the Famo motors to arrive.

Brian,
I was able to install my motors after the frames were joined. There are instructions in the option pack manual on how to do this. It is not easy but it can be done. If you can do it before joining the frames do it. If you do not want to wait just know it can be done.

Armortek calls them chassis rails.
I do not recommend installing the motors later. It does require removing some parts and getting to some of the bolts was to say the least difficult. I only offered this info incase your motors are several months out. Better to move on to other assemblies and install the motors before proceeding with the chassis.
If you check out my blog when I built my FAMO you will see I did a lot of remachining and modifying of some parts. This kit is rather challenging to assemble and if you do not have a lathe and mill it is not easy to modify some of the parts. We live only about an hour apart. If you require any machine work I am here to help.
