That's right Robert

Today's work is over and the following was made

Priming the steel metal parts for the lower hull build

Installation of the bushes

Assembled the hull floor, the sides and some of the lower front and rear parts

Everything is just loosely assembled and not loctited except the bushes.

Moving slow ahead with the build - I have primed some more steel parts - build will continue in the weekend - have a busy work week so not so much in the hobby room

In the Famo build I've been on from the first. In my StuG build I'll be one of the last... - Loking to have some impressions from you guys

weekend is coming in a short time and so the hours to spend in the man cave

Have a question about the hull floor just to clarify the construction principals

To the rear there is a large bolt going in from the side plates to the hull floor. There is not a similar fastening type on the front part.

Will it be the torsionbar alone that secures the sides to the hull floor or am I getting this wrong.

Hello Steen,

Yes the ends of the torsionbars will fix the hull plates.
I drill and tap on each side 3 extra holes to fix the hull plates so i dont need to fix the torsion bars
in the begin of my build. The torsion bars i will put later in ( other things to do first )

I believe this will be a fine solution to fix the lover hull without the torsion bar installed

Sunday afternoon in the workshop working mainly with the suspension stuff and the main sprocket parts

Loctite was the main stuff used here

not much to post - am busy at work, but managed to place the order for the motionpack

Not a lot going on - really busy at work, but managed to install the return rollers and right sprocket case.

When doing a dryfit of the sprocket case, the gear was not able to turn as it should. unscrew the case and noticed that the gear itself had a slight oval surface on the side facing the side plate. Realized this it was a easy fix. Just used my grinder tool and sandpaper to get the gear 100% even on the surface. 5 minutes after the sprocket case was attached to the side again and fully screwed into place. the gear spins like a cat now
