Hi Derek,
hi Adrian,
sorry for talking a little german with german people - i know it is an english spoken forum.
Adrian: i soft soldered the hinges in a simple self made jig. The diameter of the tube is 0,2mm bigger than the new bolt. I also built by myself. Photos will follow soon, because i am very busy at the moment with my new baby: Ivanos HL 230 P45.
Hi Adrian,
here comes the simulated photo of the simple jig for soldering the hinges. At the time of soldering, the parts where "naked".
Also you can see the new pins for the hinges with a diameter of 2mm. It is very near to the origin dimensions.
After a very very long time here is the next update of the roof and the bottom plate with some weathering.
After some weathering the bottom absolut looks like other than before.
Now i start the building process of the hull. Slowly it looks like an Elefant.
Chang: thank you very much for the information of the diamond plates i bought in UK!!!
I think it is time for more updates in this built.
Here are some more photos of the hull with the new holders for the mud guard and all the new cable holders.
Here are some more photos of the side wall with all welding seams on the holders.
The angles on the front side got 2 slots for 2 pins, they are soldered in to give more strongness to the angle after gluing into the holes for the pins - seen on the last 3 photos.
Hi Adrian, Derek and Bob,
many thanks for your kind words. Now it is time to make the Zimmerit onto the walls.
It's a time consuming job with Milliput, but it looks fine.
