Graham,
I've enjoyed following your build progress. The second color on the turret looks better, I really like the turret bin. Came out great. Can't wait to see the finished paint job.

Just a quick pic of some of the priming. The gearbox has had an individual priming and spray of Humbrol 93 before fittting.

Will follow Dales advice for finishing.

Hi Lee
I have seen some at B and Q but it is the wrong scale the "chevrons" are about 10mm long. Where can I get some to the right scale and length/width? have you any ideas.

Hi Graham
It may be worth giving Mark a ring at Armortek and ask if they use checker plate on the PIII and if so where they get it from.
Keep the photos comming as this looks a great build.
Regards
Steve

Graham,

Mike Stannard sells sheets of scale chequer board and is almost certain to know which size you require for your version.

GUTTER

Post by Graham Ord »

Roland
Take a piece of .5mm metal sheet of the correct length but wider than required and form it round a 3mm diameter piece of bar to make an elongiated "u" shape. Then trim off one of the sides to form the "j" shape required.
All you have to do then is form the top angle where it sits on the top of the turret in a vice.

I will have to fold up a pair, that really looks good. Nice yet simple detail.

DECKING

Post by Graham Ord »

Lee
Managed to get some decking off ARMORPAX, here it is provisionally fitted but not drilled through the mudguards and bolted. Still have to fit a small bit to the very front. Then back to painting.

Garham,

The decking looks good, I am sure that the model will look suerb when painted. Remember that you need the etching primer on brass also.
