Re: Steves Elefant build
Almost there.
The first of 2 Elefant builds is now nearing the end, electrics all sorted and just the final bits and pieces to complete.
Must say I do like the twin engine start sound supplied with the sound module.
Regards
Steve

Mate, that looks sooo good. You can also have a father and son picture like the one Armortek took at the tank museum recently
.
Or maybe take yours to the tank museum and you can have grandfather, father and son !!
Have you got it running yet ?
Nik

Hi Nik
The Elefant is a big impressive kit and will look great when running. I have tested the electrics in this one and everything works fine including the drive motors I just have not run it on the ground yet.
Regards

Any finished pictures of the Elephants? Perhaps outside? I always enjoy your finished outside images.

Hi Robert
Unfortunately I did not get chance to get any shots outside as the weather was very bad and I needed to get both tanks to the packers.

Re: Steves Elefant build
Steve, hope you don't mind but I'm looking for a bit of advice.
I have just finished building the lower hull, all looks good except I have a gap between CR102 Upper Front plate and CR104 Hull Plate (see photo). Did you encounter this or have I simply run out of talent and got something upside down or back to front?
Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks.
Dave

Hi Dave,
I think this gap is there for every builder. Mine has got it. I simply fill it with car filler. Photos will be shown later.

Lerh Chang

Hi Chang
Thanks for the feedback. Out with the Milliput it is then. I'll fill the gap when I do the weld detail. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't done anything daft before I moved on too far.
Cheers!
Dave.
