hi, I acquired a king tiger seen on this forum earlier in the year painted gloss railway green.thats not a problem it gives me something to do in the winter months.its the wiring I cant sort.everything seems ok as per the books supplied but the limit switches control the turret turn instead of barrel up and down , the recoil works ok but does not retract when power down.
also something burnt out the left drive motor costing me £300. any advise would be greatfully received.
thanks,
Nigel
2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY
Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.
So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.
We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.
Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Which motion pack does it have ? The Armortek branded modules or the earlier Electronize ones ?
> the recoil works ok but does not retract when power down
Not sure what you mean ? When it powers up it should go through a slow cycle to make sure the barrel ends up in the right place but when you power it off it shouldn't do anything.

Re: green king tiger
it has armortek modules as supplied in 2013
the barrel comes out to correct length when switched on and retracts when turned off, well it did for the first few days

That's just the servo reacting to the loss of power., which is one of the reasons it goes through the initialisation cycle when switched on.
Whether it happens or not is down to the servo innards, not the design or operation of the recoil module.
