The subject has been touched at another place in the forum, but I think a discussion on 3D printing belongs in this category.

I am using Slic3r, but have never managed to get supports working satisfactorily. I will try to reduce the distance as suggested, but suspect they will be still harder to remove...

Interesting review and note he came to the same conclusions that I did in the followup vid.. Simplfy3D was the best but then that's not surprising as it is paid for software.
