Re: T34 Idlers
Hi Bodo
Some one asked that when I was building my T34 and I couldnt find any mention
of it and any pictures in my books.
But I did read read somewhere that it was pumped across into a couple of places
each side on top of the Hull where the covers slide aside.
I think I read it in the "T-34 Tank Service Manual" Moscow 1942.
Cheers

Hi Bodo
Try this link
http://www.allworldwars.com/T-34%20Tank ... anual.html
I found this and printed it off for free, its slightly shorter than the one I had
just bought at the time from www.afvhandbooks.com
It shows all the fuel system and shows the 4 filler cap entry with filters.
Cheers

Hi Phil,
thank you a lot for these interresting links. Really informative. It is always nice to learn something about the technical background.

Re: T34 Idlers
Hi all,
I have started to reshape the turret and give it a casted appearance. Not finished at all. I changed the cupola into the cupola with the splitted hatch. Maybe somebody could tell me, if the hatches were pivoted, because on some pictures the hatches are in different positions. Also it would be nice if somebody has a picture showing the locking.
Regards Bodo

Hi Bodo,
Stunning work as usual from you, this one will be awesome and another masterpiece from Germany.
Regarding the two-leafed folding hatch it was revolving on a ball-bearing support and therefore will be seen in different positions.
The later one-piece hatch was also revolving in the same way.
Sorry but I can’t help you with the locking photos.
Kind regards
Kent

Hi all,
I have redesigned the cupola, now the hatch is revolvable. (Thank`s again to Kent!)
Also the prism housings and the loaders hatch are finished.

Hi Bodo
Outstanding detailing and parts! but then I wouldn't expect anything less from you. Will be an amazing T34 when you are through with it.
kind regards
Tim

Re: T34 Idlers
Hi all,
I have added some details to the hullroof around the turret and modified the turretbearing. Also I have finished the drivers hatch, except the prisms. The hatch is fully workable, It is possible to open the prism housings from the inside.
