New web site

Post by Steve Norris »

Since the introduction of the new web site i have been unable to post any photos, I keep getting the message "Your images may only be up to 750 pixels wide". There is obviously a way round this but i cannot find it, can anyone tell me how it is done.
I use Photobucket as my hosting site if that makes any difference.
Regards
Steve

I use photobucket also. When you upload there is an option to customise where you can set it to resize all photos to a particular set size. There is none for 750, so unless you go for a smaller size you need to edit each image and resize. Click on edit, resize and enter 750 in the box for horizontal size. The vertical should change itself to suit.

Hello everyone, here is my fourpenny worth.....I have difficulty reading the posts....black letters on the grey background. White script on grey suits me fine.

I resize my photographs ( taken with my digital camera then loaded directly into 'pictures' on my laptop) to 800x600. I stopped using Photobucket, takes to long to load and transfer....Mick.

Hi Steve,
In photobucket click on the photo position the cursor near the top of the photo list of options appear, select resize and choose 640 x 480 then select replace original and that should work.

Hi everyone

You can also just type 750 in the "width" box and it will keep the proportions. Then as John said, either save as copy or replace original.

best regards
Tim

Hi Adrian

I have now put the instructions in the post. You need to click on it to increase the size to read. It works fine on the full screen although if viewing on a lap top it may not be perfect. If anyone needs a copy I have a 'hi res' that I can email on request. These instructions are also in all the relevant kit manuals.
