Hello,

in the last days I could finish the sprocket and the first cap for the wheels. The cap isn't in the final position. I attached the storage box to the turret and milled the gunners vision ports. At least I modified the hinges at the front.

Hello,

in the last days I could do much progress with my Panzer IV. I finished much things with the gun (outside turret) and the turret. I soldered a new cover for the stowage box and made new hinges for the cover.
The backside of the hull is nearly finished.

the exhaust ist still missing. I will build a new one, because the exhaust from the kit is to small

Next will be some welds and some paint for the hull.

Hello,

yesterday I forgot to make pictures from the hatches at the hull sides and at the back. I have milled them by using a 3D-drawing. The hatches are milled in one piece and can not be opened. If there is any interest in the hatches, let me know, I could produce a prototype for casting.
Today I soldered the brackets for the exhaust. I will renew the exhaust, because it is to small. i hope that I will get the ordered brass tube for makeing the new exhaust.

The profiles of those hatches are perfect. I am willing to have a go at casting a working set in white metal if you are interested. The panzer IV has so many little details. It will keep you busy for a long time.

Gunter, your Pz IV is looking great. Love the F1 turret.
Since you are adding all that detail are you going to put the correct bolt pattern on the transmission cover.
Here is what I did to mine.

if you like a working hatch, I could mill the parts seperately and with or without the two bolts as a prototype.
the prototype will be in plastic.

One tiny observation ...
Please note that the fuel filler ports on the Panzer IV were only on the LHS and not on both sides.

I have finished the smoke grenade box, added some welds, reworked the small exhaust, added the pistol ports and additional parts to the gun. Thats it for today.
