heres the pics of the elevation and depression levels that i was on about earlier the elevation doesnt seem to bad but i will tweak it a bit
the depresion i think needs a bit more than this ,i know it was less than the elevation but think it should be more than this 
so this will be the next thing to do .Today i,ve been going back to the road wheels on the other side and finished them off (same as beforeso no pics) i then went back to the exhausts and cut them down to the correct size now i have the deck in place 
i then fitted the inner pipes .(in my junk box in work i found a piece of rubber that was of a break cable or clutch cable it was star shaped in section and i thought it might look good down the inside of the outer shield and also help keep the center exhaust in position 
what do you think guys ,any way i made the cap that goes over the barrel and attaches to the recoil housing to finish that ofas well 
and heres a pic of that dastidly muzlebreak its never gonna come of again 
these next pics are of the weld i did on the turret (the turret is in one piece so these are real fake welds 
)i have been trying new settings and the metal is all one thickness so i think these have come out the best so far well i think thats it for this weekend so all the best to all .......nick

put the studs half way in the brass blocks push the brass blocks and studs into the holes on each end of the recoil housing and breach,the recoilhousing and breach were a snug fit on mine but it still went into the space in the mantlet ,now lower all this through the back of the mantlet ,it will only go in one way it so if it doesnt fit try turning it over 
next is to try putting all this into the turret again it will only fit one way so try it both ways

As you should be able to see there is a big differance in the before and after pics ,even if i do not use the full move ment that i now have i think its better to ,have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I MUST STRESS THAT THIS IS A PERSONAL MODIFICATION AND NOT SOMETHING YOU NEED TO DO .Next are some pics of my method for doing this ,this pic is of the top of the recoil block ,i just ran a sanding disc on a angle grinder across the top just to take of the apex piece that was fowling on the mantlet

honest) had put an extra deck hinge in its place ,so muttering that i will run down every gremlin i see when i get it running 
i am very pleased with the outcome ,having done that i decided to do the decorations on and around the hatch 
i couldnt see clearly from pic wheather the bolts or rivets in the hatch were countersunk or sticking proud so i counter sunk them anyway hope their right ,i used solid rivets around the inside edge 5/32 dia dome heads and for the rivets in the hatch i used three 5/32 dia solid countersunk rivets ,and then the hinge i used 3/32dia solid dome heads all these rivets are aluminium, around the outside edge i used 1.2mm diameter drill to drill the ten holes around the edge and then cut down nails and glued them in .The nails had a conical shank and top so i countersunk the holes as well 
all together i am quit happy with the result
