Hi all and thank's for your comments. I know it is a great challange but one day I might have the chance to produce a sound out of 12 cylinders at low speed with high tourque. Thats what I'm after and this is what drives me.
Now I have to go back in my seller to continue work on the oil cooler. Photos will follow soon.

Hi, here is the next part I do need for getting the side wall of the block correct. The oil cooler is a water/oil heat exchanger. The water enters through a thermostat valve anaible a short circuit when engine is cold. Then the water passes through the big cylinder cooling the oil in the wirld pipe.
I guess there are a lot of members done steam engines before and must have some experience with cooling pipes, heat exchangers and so on. So please excuse my unproffessionel winding of the pipe. I desided not to make a new one just for the reason I had no more pipe available.
The brass cooler is 85 mm long and 29 mm in Ø. Water in- and outlet is 10 mm inner Ø. The oil pipe is 1,9 m long and the inner Ø is 3 mm. Hope everthing is tight and the different medias don't mix up.

Hallo Alan, hallo Holger. Thank you for your compliments. I'm having a designing brake from the engine and work on some other areas like deck and hatches just to get an other challange to my brains.
Side walls of the engine block are fitted. Braking through the wall with the two connections for oil is very difficult without a leak into the cranck area. Pictures will folow soon.

Hi Graham,
so you are well ahead. And what a beauty it is your machine. I wich I am as fare as you are. My engine is on low priority for the moment since I'm working on the turret top. The gunners hatch is the target and it is very difficult to make. Frame is don but the hatch ( Luke ) itself was ruined in the mill. My fault. So I have to start from scratch now.
Any way good luck with your sparking plugs and the firt ignitions.

Hi Alan,
I'm having a brake on the engine just to finish my Feifels. So I hope to get back on my Maybach in Octobre to make further steps. In the time between some builders like Bill Lambert helped me with more illustrations of the HL 210 P45. More drawings are prepared and looking forward to be realised.

Hi Phil, thank you for your attention. Unfortunately the engine project is parked since I am very busy with my company. No wonder in Germany these days.
However, not to be too lazy I continued with my Feifel Filters and are about to finish the whole set up. So not too long I will report at least on my air cleaners.
