Yet another gun battery............and its stopped raining

HMS Ajax the famous cruiser (Battle of the river Plate) apparently knocked a couple of these out

Someone also said that this emplacement had an ammo explosion.

It's amazing those guns are still in such reasonable condition.

When we were there there were a couple of coach loads of French school kids re-enacting Cher's famous video on those gun barrels...

Hill 112

The Churchill. Look at the tracks and thier colour.

It doesnt look like a hill but when you are there you can see how it dominates the whole area.

At the top of the hill, amongst the trees, there are small crosses and other memos

My French isn't the best but AFAIK, "colline" is hill, "cote" is coast
