Yet another gun battery............and its stopped raining :o

HMS Ajax the famous cruiser (Battle of the river Plate) apparently knocked a couple of these out

It's amazing those guns are still in such reasonable condition.

When we were there there were a couple of coach loads of French school kids re-enacting Cher's famous video on those gun barrels...

Glad it's stopped raining :D

I never knew they lost so many Typhoon pilots.

The problem with being a mainly low level sortie role I suppose.

It doesnt look like a hill but when you are there you can see how it dominates the whole area.

Falaise, St Lambert and Montormel known as "The Corridor of Death" This was the only escape route for two German armies. But 80000 had already escaped.

My French isn't the best but AFAIK, "colline" is hill, "cote" is coast :wink:
