Hi Dave,

Even if I prefer German stuff I must say this work of yours is beyond anything I have ever seen before from anyone!
Just having it for display as it is are tempting, truly a work of art.

One thing I have wanted to ask you:
Quad that is 4, but I only see two guns.
Will there be four of them? (probably a stupid question but I had to ask... )

Kind regards
Kent

Hi All,

Well the end truly is now in sight. I have finished the gun sight, control column, junction box, battery terminal clamp and elevation limit switch arm. All I have to do now is make the bottom gun brackets and get the final pair of 50's mounted.

Cheers

Dave

At Last!!!!!!!!

After many hours going over the lower front bracket pics again and again last night the penny suddenly dropped and I figured out how it went together. I found my start point and by the end of this evening I had a basic lower front bracket, all I have to do now is detail it. A few more days and we should have a Quad intead of twin 50's.

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

Getting closer to the grand finale of probably your longest project ever.
Will your .50's have a hollow barrel to allow fitting a LED ?

Hi All,

With a sigh of relief I have cut the last piece of styrene and formed the last milliput weld............................its done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too late tonight to get any primer on so will spray the last parts up tomorrow. I'll take some pics of the final assembly before I start breaking it all back down. I'm going to get the moulds for the side drums done straight away and run the gun brackets etc in resin. The gun brackets will be metal on the production version but there is no way I will have time to get metal parts done for War and Peace. Running some temporary parts in resin will allow me to put together a full mount for the show.

Next time something like this comes up and I say "I'll make it" someone kick me..............................

Ad, Sorry, barrels are solid cast.

Cheers

Dave
