Hi Guys

Are we talking abaut the same lamp that is fitted in house alarms?

if so, these are normally mounted on boards and says WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE and will deff give you a good belt  but a great MG flash 8)

Yes Richie, even the one in those disposable cameras wiegh in around 400V - but the amperage is in the milli's.

Actually the ones in the 1/16th Tamiyas are like mine 650V, but again amperage is in the milliamps.

Yes, they can discarge inappropiately if mishandled and you can get a shock (I would not call it a "belt" by any means)- but not to the degree people generally think. I would consider a shotgun blank way more a danger......
Thanks,

Jim

VERY TRUE! Richie.

I have to confess my motivation for using this type of device is LAZINESS - plain and simple.

After you install it, it should work without having to do anything else to it for 1000s of firings

.......no cleaning it or buying it cartidges

Best Wishes,

Jim
Thanks,

Jim
