Hi All,

An update on my build. I've been busy moving house amongst other things so Paul Morris from Paul's Tank Workshop 01524 720977 pjtigerman@aol.com has taken over the build. Below are a few photo's of how he's getting on. A couple of additions from the basic kit are Steve Winston''s excellent cone head bolts & running board brackets and letters and numbers on the sprockets. Thats a nice lift, who recommended that to you , its better sunk into the bench, and battery powered. its easy moveing the kt up and down, well worth the pennys.

Hi Fellas.
Little bit of an update on Antony's Panzer 111, all running gear now fitted and basic paint on the lower hull complete just needs weathering and chips etc.

Its a bit of a squeese getting all the electrics in, but managed it

When fitting the brilliant new Tannoy speakers i used the mounting brackets, and noticed when the speakers are then attached there is a fair bit of wobble due to the weight of the speaker itself, so i have used some of the packing from the speaker box cut down of course, and fitted under the front of the speaker to form a cushion it works very well as the packing is formed to the shape of the speaker.
P.S. Ant yes its very yellow same as befor no time to paint the shed so i think you get the flash bouncing back off the yellow stain of the walls

After a quick visit to Paul's a small update. The Panzer III is coming along and all the extra details Paul's adding is making it even better. He's started to add all the weld marks, castle nuts, MG flash & movement and more:

Hi fellas.
Little bit more progress on Antony's Panzer 111.

Started to do a few welds now and Ant's jerry can rack along the rear of the tank.

A simple set up as you can see, all made up from Aluminium all the jerry cans are removeable as they are held in place by the chain you can see in the pic, that passes through the handles and then locates on the post at either end of the rack, the chain is held in place in the centre.

Completed the mesh screens tonight just need a final primer coat.

Borrowed the tried and tested idea of hinging the turret roof for access {cheers Clive} only a few more bits and bobs and should be nearly ready to start the final painting.

Guys, I want to be CRITICAL on one aspect of your build.....

I don't remember the Panzer III having a "flip-top" turret!

But, iI think it's awesome (GRIN!)

I think I want to do it too!

Just to add to Paul's post above, below are a couple of photo's I sent him for the Jerry Can holder and I think he's done a fantastic job on it . I've been collecting quite a few Jerry Cans over the last few weeks and now I've got somewhere to put them as the ones in photo's are Paul's





The one thing I love about the DAK Panzer III is all the stowage they carried. I've collected tons so my Pz III will be FULLY LOADED when finished.

Anthony (Paul) - I've been looking at the internal layout and decided as you have that one speaker has to go in the nose. The power unit is good in the back above the smoker. The auxiliary and speed modules could fit alongside the batteries.

Can I ask you how you've accomodated the elevation motor in your layout? Have you decided to re-position it?

Looking for inspiration.

Hello Stephen.
Sorry no inspiration here i'm afraid the elevation option is not going to be used in Antony's tank...we are doing something else, thats why the layout causes no problem simply because the elevation motor etc is not being fitted.

Its now in place on the rear plate, more to follow soon when i get some more goodies off Antony.
