Mid Tiger rebuild

Here is my mid tiger that i bought second hand, over the next year or so i will strip down to components and rebuild.

best of luck david,i've rebuilt a second hand one myself,rusty,bolts snapped,and no metal work experiance,but enjoyed it! post some photos. simon manning

Not looking forward to rusty snapped off bolts or that the torsion bars have been welded to suspension sharfts

, With alot of help and accessories from Steve Winstone my tiger will live again. If my rebuild turns out half as good as your mid tiger, it will be a job well done.

hi david,my tiger was abandoned due to the owner passing away, left in a shed open to the elements for nearly two years,which did;nt help,,it looked very sad when i purchased the tiger,my wife said ;how much!..for that...

Lots of gunk inside the hull. Yek! I'm looking forward to the rebuild - the first build didn't do these great models justice. Good luck on the rebuild and keep us posted David.

Hi I have been working on this tank when ever I get some spare time, so progress is slow, I have lowered the rear deck, which has been quite difficult with basic hand tools, I just need to add rear supporting brackets and this job will be complete. New torsion bars added I will set suspension angle slightly different towards the rear to stop sagging.

Bump stops fitted and suspension mount moved, fillet detail added.

Support brackets added.

Track guard added, is this in the right position for a mid tiger, I do most of my repositioning by eye.

New boss and repositioned.

Track bar added and casing fillet reshaped.

Hi, more progress.
Tow bracket added, I have been trying to replicate accurate welds, let me know if these look ok.

now i have seen your radio/drivers hatch rings inserted i will have to install these aswell, a quality construction in the making, keep the posts coming it reminded me of what i missed, regards simon.
