Re: LEO-2A4
So the best thing that everyone has access to these days is a 3d printer,so have I from the magnificent printers of Raise3d
Тhis allows me to quickly and cheaply see what the part will look like before being made of aluminum.
This will be added to the original detail of Armortek (BUMP STOP TYPE A)
In order for the addition to acquire an authentic look, I had to remove a few millimeters from the part CV0115C
Then collect the details
Everything is made in such a way that it fits the original holes and also leaves out a detail CV0115B

Re: LEO-2A4
I continue with the suspension parts. I think that the result of the friction between iron and aluminum will not last long, so I decided to change it
I start with the processing of BOGIE HOUSING
Bushing fabrication and testing with SUSPENSION SHAFT
Тesting bushing with BOGIE HOUSING , all this will be pressed to the end, and I don't know if there will be any point in securing it with LOCTITE 638

Re: LEO-2A4
Hello and Merry Christmas to all
I decided to play with REAR VENT ,I start by changing the shape, distance, and way of gripping and assembling this part of the model.
I did a few tests for TIG welding of the used material,to set the best possible weld quality
CV0314 detail it was size adjusted from the two sides
CV0316 and CV0316M were replaced with new details that fit the shape I wanted
CV0315 and CV0315M one of each was repositioned to more closely match the original
CV0317 -7 pieces were cut from the original ones in the kit and the rest were made new.
M3x12 BUTx10 units were welded for CV0314
General rear view
the two side grilles were also welded and sample mounting

Re: LEO-2A4
Hi Stanislav,
In one of the photos dated 19 Oct 2024 , is it your customer-made Gun barrel adaptor that to replace the kit original part (XRE028-Leo 2)?
Best regards,
Lerh Chang

Re: LEO-2A4
Hi Chang
I have not purchased original Armortek option pack
This detail was made by me.to answer to my design of RECOIL system.a and fit the details of the barrel.
It is different I don't know how the "problem" with moving the barrel ( which prevents unwanted forward and backward movement) is solved with Armortek option pack
.But I think I did something and I'll post pictures at a later stage
