Help Needed: 222 Small Parts

Post by Jan_Donadoni »

Hello,
I've two little problems with my 222 build. The model (and I) had to change house a few times in the last few years. No pieces went missing, but two of them left their identification bag and no I cannot find out where they should go. Was even unable to find their picture in the building instructions.
Can anyone help me?

Mark is correct, though very few completed models on the forum seem to have them fitted.

Part number is CJ0339 - Exhaust Stay.

Fitting is described on page 17 in Release 1 of the instructions:

"Dry fitting of the exhaust system is recommended before using adhesive in the final assembly. Slide the exhaust box onto the pipe and rotate into place. Fit the cowls to the hull side. Push the pipe into the cowl and rotate into position. Slide the stay over the outlet end of the pipe and twist along it’s length until the top end lines up with the rear mudguard, rear fixing holes. Retain using the existing bolt. Once all parts are lined up, clean and fit using Loctite."

Indeed I had some memory it went to the exhaust system, but was totally unable su figure out this solution. Without your info I'd probably dropped the pieces.
