Anyone else broken the spokes in the steering wheel yet?!
They aren’t really strong enough if a driver is going to be used.
Any tips on alternatives? I’m thinking maybe thin brass rod.

Re: Broken steering wheel
Mine broke as well. For now I superglued the detached spokes back and resprayed the wheel….it’s ok for now. I have looked for another wheel but not yet found one but I will keep searching! Good luck!

Re: Broken steering wheel
I made a new wheel before the inevitable breaking of the plastic one.
Plus the one I made is the correct one for HUE.

Re: Broken steering wheel
As already mentioned in a previous post Armortek could have supplied something better!! 3D printing is not the best production methode for this kind of parts. I have a 1/6th Chinese produced radio controlled Jeep with injection molded parts which has better strength steering wheel. I understand that this cannot be done for small serie production but using 3D printing is an easy way out. I think paying the price we have done for a none intended static model Armortek could supply us a better replacement part for this as i think it is a production and design failure.

Re: Broken steering wheel
The replacement steering wheel that I made took a long time to produce.
I'm not sure how Armortek would be able to come up with a stronger wheel for a limited production run such as the 4x4 car.
I can understand people's frustration that such a visible part seems to be insufficient for a working model.
But it is what it is and I don't think it can be suitably addressed by an upgraded part.
Just my two penneth.
