The 222 transmitter question

Post by Lawrence Godson »

I know this has been brought up before but has anyone completed the addition of a rotary switch to their transmitter to control the sound card sounds selection? I'd like to use one of the 2.4 frequency units and am wondering if someone would be willing to walk us all through the custom addition of the rotary switch.
Thanks in advance

Hello Lawrence,

Yes I second your request, I have my sound set-up on one of the 2.4 ghz joy-stick controls and it can be a bit of pot-luck what sound comes out, plus I feel that I have lost one of my joy-stick controls. :(

At Beltring I even had Thomas Benedeni himself trying to get the correct sounds, but even he was not always successful and blamed my joy-stick.

One of the sounds, number nine, I think in German is "Enemy sighted"
but it sounds in English like " Pint of Bitter" :o

Hi Guys
Gary at UK tank club uses a 10 push button switch
Multiplex system that he gets from
pandan models in croydon (mail order only)
this is stuck to the side of the transmitter and he uses
one button per sound and it seems to work fine. it comes complete with an adapter board and instructions....
and replaces one of the other proportional channels.
I know Stewart and some others also use this set up with thomas boards.

Hope this helps

Derek.
we must stop making stupid predictions

Sounds good. Any chance that we could here anything more about anyone's experiences with retrofitting the transmitter and setting up the system?
Thanks
