Hello all:
I'd bet one of the more time consuming tasks I've encountered in building my Tiger has been flipping back and forth between drawings, fastener lists, text and on-line photos trying to nail down exactly where certain fasteners go in order to avoid having to disassemble something that was assembled with the wrong ones.
Unfortunately metric bolts are a little harder to come by over here and I'm a little reluctant to trouble you folks with such seemingly unimportant inquiries.
In any case, so as to circumvent possibly having to assemble, disassemble, and re-assemble the motors, gear housing and sprockets to the hull of my Tiger can anyone tell me where the M5 washers in the motion pack are supposed to be used. I have my suspicions but I'd rather be sure.
It's an embarassing question to have to ask but I'll take the ribbing.

Hello Lee:
The model is built. I just received the motion and sound kits which are wired and sitting on my bench waiting for my batteries to arrive.
I have the gear casings off and I'm assembling all the mechanical parts that I can without installling the electronics such as the battery tray, elevation bracket and arm etc.
The M5 washers aren't called out anywhere that I can see but the only M5 bolts are the ones associated with the flange mounts which can be assembled to the motors prior to bench testing.
While I've been witing for the batteries I've been considering some ways to optimize the installation of the electronic components.
In building this model I've made it a point to focus on resiliency and corrosion resistance. For example each and every part was etched, etch primed, and primed prior to assembly and applying the base coat. The interior has a finish coat of engine enamel.
Although I love the exquisite detail afforded by all the aftermarket goody's, I am most conscerned with being able to run my tank like a tank over things, through brush, and etc. without having to worry too much about what might go missing as a result. Consequently I'll be careful with regard to selecting items most likely to survive.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any feedback you might have with regard to the latter and the following:
By the way, is the speaker water resistant?
If not I'd be inclined to mount it vertically facing rearward in case I get caught out in the rain. Does that make sense?
How were the speaker box dimensions of 200x140x90 determined?
Do you think polyethelene represents a better material for the speaker box given its density and that it is impervious to temperature and humidity?
Would it make sense to coat the majority of permanent or semipermanent connections with silicon?

Well the M5 washers are for the bolts that go through the motor to the mounting ring. The speakers that are supplied are not water proof but is you mount them in a ABS or simular box with holes in to let the sound out that will be fine. I have mounted all of my speakers in this fashion and have had no problems. I have left my Tiger, Sherman and Panther out in the rain and they have been fine.As long as you take resonable precations you will have no worries.They arnt exspensive ones. Just put them in a box as big as necessary. On the Tiger i fit the bits on the sides. from front to back on the left is ESP, Sound unit,Speaker box. On the Right side goes ESP. Reciever.speaker. Control box. On the right side mounted on the side all the switch units. I the rewire the Tank to siut the new layout. The only wire i keep is the turret Loom. I change all the ends and plugs for better but more exspensive ones. Hope this helps
