Re: Yves sdkfz 9 update
Hello
I have a question, can you use a actuator ( like steering actuator for the famo )
for a recoil unit for the ( pak 40 ) i wanne use that on my sdkfz 251? If you connect the actuator on the Armortek recoil
module will it work fast for shooting and pull back slowly
Best regards Yves

Re: Yves sdkfz 9 update
Actuators tend to use a motor turning a screw thread, so would never be fast enough to work as a recoil.

Hi Yves,
glad to help you.
At the 251 it is helpfull to close the bottom.
Reason is dust in the suspension and in my case to protect the electronic parts.
At the Famo the suspension is allready protect with the tubes.

Re: Yves sdkfz 9 update
Hello, Florian
The wing nuts that you use on the window is this M2 or M3?
And were can you find these? I have wing nuts from Armortek but i think they are M3 and that's maybe a little to big?
My profiles for the window arrived yesterday from germany ( Knupfer )
Did you cut the window glass with a dremel?
Something else: It is a little bit strange that there no springs on the idler system of the famo??
I think i will put some springs on it.
Ps: where did you find all the different sides of rivits?
Best regards Yves

Hi Yves,
well the wing nuts are M1,5.
I have all the rivets, screws and nuts from knupfer.
I milled the disc.
Which deflection system of the Famo do you mean??

Hello Florian,
I cant find wing nuts on the Knupfer webside.
I mean the Idler system ( to change the tracktension ) i think it is safer with a spring on.
They use springs on the idler of the stug 3 also.
Best regards Yves
