Hi all,
i start a new project with some very nice details. I think it is one of the last unbuilt Panzer IV from Armortek, i bought 4 weeks ago. Let yourself be surprised.

Very interesting build Martin, your right you don't see many of these, keep the posts coming, regards simon.

yes you are absolutely right the P IV is an absolut rare tank. Now i start with the casting numbers of the return roller housings, the leaf springs, the swing arms and the return rolls including the tires with numbers on.

Some more progress with the boogies, the return roller bearings and the idler wheels. The wheels are from my friend Heiko and they are casted and machined by a friend of him.

Looking great. May I ask where you got the letters for the casting numbers?

thank you so much for your kind word. The letters are from a shop in netherland - sorry i don't remember the name. For search use: plastic letters 3mm. Google will help you very fast. I think in this forum are also threads about this.
Here are the next step for making some ribs at the side of the idler mounting block. For better holding i make a slot into the rib and solder a pin into this place. The opposite side will get holes for good contact with the glue.

Now comes the mounting block with the ribs, welding seams, grease nipple and the lever on the top position.
But the ribs are not ready - the last welding seams have to come next.

thank you guys for the nice comments. Here are the next update for the lever, turned to the correct position. The nuts got some "wings" on the outer diameter - soldered into slots, like the origin, and i start with the weldings of the idler wheels.

I would love Armortek to do a new Panzer IV model and preferably an ausf.H or ausf.J kit.
In all these years, there has only been 1 very limited release of this very common and hugely iconic tank.
It was the most produced of all WW2 German tanks and was used on all fronts from 1939 through to the end of the war and was then used in the Middle East conflict.

In the mean time please keep up the good work martin.
I am really enjoyng your Panzer IV project.

Two, actually. 25 in 2002 and 25 in 2012 (I believe). Both were Ausf H.

If they were to do a rerun, I'd much prefer an Ausf F1/F2/G instead.
Perfect adversary for the M3 in the Western Desert.

Hi all.

I like this build, though I don't think I could go to the level of detail shown here, which is inspiring. Our/my Mk IV is currently a run about, which is great fun, see vids.
At some point I would like to upgrade the model and fit Schurzen, but not yet as I will continue to enjoy this build.
