Was it a real WW2 archive or a photoshopped (fake) one?

Discussed in FB, I reckon this photo is a photoshop one, yet the guy who's posted insist it is a WW2 real archive.

I am sure I had seen this photo before, only couldn't remember from where.

Does anybody can find out the website source to prove it was a genuine WW2 photo, or simply a photoshop one?

I would have said your KT looks too clean, no spare track links, no identifying markings, perfectly shaped mudguards.
Not impossible it's a WW2 picture but I would say photoshopped.

Thanks Adrian. I totally agree with you. Only I will need to find out the evidence (if existed) to prove he was wrong.

Any further advice from all knowledgeable tankers is quite welcome too.

Hi Chang, i do believe the photo is Genuine, i have seen it before and discussed the camo with the late Per Sonnervik, It is the Hard edge camo scheme and the dots were applied with a brush, The Tank looks new as it has just been painted, more info is on the net and the missing linx website, regards simon.

Looks real to me, they must have been clean for a few weeks after assembly, looks to be recently off rail transport

for the aspect of the tank, could that tank have been cleaned ? (see the bucket atop of the turret ?)
Surprising is the lack of tactical number on the turret
So as said, may be brand new, freshly delivered ?
Just trying to explain some points, not saying it is a photoshop or whatsoever.

Unfortunately I didn't find any explanation for "modellbaukoope".

This king tiger uses small transportation track links ("Verladeketten") and is very clean. Maybe it is really brandnew...........

For some reasons (from my instinct?), I still think I have read somewhere sometimes ago, that this photo was a photoshopped one.

I am unable to find out to prove that at the moment. Hope one day I will.

The book Panzer ace by Richard Rozen describes a press photo shoot of his new formation of KT's, many of these tanks had no platoon numbers. Some didn't have zim and many were on their transport tracks, all clean and tidy. This is the popular news reel showing him strutting his stuff in front of this wall of tanks for propergander purposes. There are stills in his book and it wouldn't be beyond the imagination that this picture wasn't taken before or after the show for the press by a crew man involved in the performance.
