Well there's plenty of other nation panthers to play with.
4th coldstream playing with one. Well that's what the photo says. Then there's a troop of Russian 5th Brigade Panthers with slap on numbers. Not to mention the french Panther tanks probably built by the British
As for 6th Brigade
No problem with the badging, anywhere on the drivers side rear tool box.
and get Amber to photo shot the front guard and ignore any other testimony.

'Deserter' has an odd resonance with me.

After capture, it was handed to 145th Regiment Royal Armoured Corps, which was made from the 8th Battalion of the Duke of Wellington's Regiment.

The Duke of Boots is one of the local land owners near here, and my sister worked in their Farm Shop for a number of years.

Also, 8th Battalion Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment was raised in 1914 in Halifax, where my mother later grew up in her teenage years.

Still sticking with the fake M10 though

I’m going to do the early green Cuckoo. I really like that photo of the crew standing on it in Pixie Suits. Do you fancy doing the winter camo version ? Same tank, different time periods !

And a ‘Deserter’ would be good for someone interested in the Italian campaign.

Sounds good Chris, alas I'm out of the running for Panther. following a recent bereavement and being so busy with Lucas, I've just gotten to the point where I have no modelling mojo so I've spoken to Monique and stepped away after being rather indecisive for some time. As I say I'll watch your build with great interest! Who knows, I might be joining you in the future.

At the very least I'll be back when Comet/Centurion are released.

I had absolutely no idea the Allies used panthers in the field.
The panther you have chosen is really interesting and something different.

Ahh, research, you see . To me, a vital component of the hobby, alongside building and playing

The British had a very few (see Alex's 'Deserter' thread), the French used a lot post-War, and the Russians also fielded quite a number. Throughout history armies have used captured equipment, especially if it was better than their own. And, by using it, you can learn about its weaknesses - "Military secrets are the most fleeting of all".
