Recoil Mechanism Sherman Easy Eight
I've a query about the elevation actuator setup. As supplied the 'piston' appears to have too much travel. Once fitted I think it will continue to travel after the barrel assembly has reached its limit of travel in both directions. Does anyone know if this is the case? If so is there a way to alter/adjust the amount of 'piston' travel. I have tried to do this by adjusting servo travel on transmitter but all this does is slow the speed of the 'piston' down, it doesn't alter travel distance.

I've the same thing. The only way to limit linear actuators I've seen it to create a mechanical stop either outside or inside the actuator. It'll still try even against the stop. Otherwise you'd need a reed switch to stop travel in one direction and cut the power. Setting trims or endpoints on the controller won't work as it's an on / off signal not a thrown distance. I've not found it an issue on the SHerman. It's rubbed inside the top of the turret a couple times but visually it looks daft when you've gone near too far so I don't go too far now.
