2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

2021 Tiger question.

Post by Søren Sandvold »

Hi.

I have just received my 2021 late Tiger 1 kit. :D

Now, I have been looking over the kit and it's content, and as i have read a lot if older building blogs I notice that there are several new upgrades/changes to the kit. There is one thing new that raises a eyebrow. There is no longer O rings on the suspension arms/shafts. (The O ring between the shaft and bronze /brass bushing) And no oilring on the sprockets driveshaft.

The omitted oil seal on the drive shaft I can somehow understand, but the leaving out the O rings seams odd :?:

Any thought on the matter? Should I take the time and effort to machine a groove and install the O rings?

When the time comes to actually start this build, i will do a build blog, unless you're all tired of seeing Tiger builds

We agree Søren - look forwards to seeing your build photos on the forum. Everyone does things a bit differently, so it will be fun to see how you do yours.

The 2021 Tiger 1 does feature quite a few changes/ improvements compared with previous kits. With regards to the O rings - we removed these from our kits a few years back as they did not prove to be very effective.

Every build is different in some way, new idea's, techniques, help, guiding, impressing and inspiring.
Without input the forum's high quality output would wither.
Even if it's just a steady build I'll read and watch it grow.
Every picture is worth a thousand words (unless it out of focus, then it gets just one or two  )
So bring it on and enjoy. 8)

@ Armortek : thanks for the clarification on the o rings. It seams like a good ide on paper, but trust you on that they are not necessary.
