Hello Pete. Dennis Jones for SAG or the British Model Flying Assoc (BFMA) insurance is good. I've used them for years. Probably the same brokers since there only seems to be one in the game (Hiscox)

Hi Guys
I assume that the UK tank club is no more as I didn't get an invitation to join this year.
I dont do face book and the web site died a few years ago.
So come show season I hope my model engineering club insurance will be enough.

Or I will just sort out somethig with Walter Migley direct.

Regards

Derek

Current SAG insurance is through "Travelers Insurance Company Ltd" via Walter Midgely.

The £5m indemnity covers sparks, ashes and boiler explosions

The UKTC as a club folded due to lack of interest from members attending shows and no-one wanting to fill the vacant committee posts. When it started, it was pretty much the only game in town when it came to shows, but with the forming of SAG, Southeast Tanks, Independent Armour etc, people have joined their own local groups and have enough shows to attend during the year. The two UKTC AGMs were quite well attended but pretty much everyone there was also a member of another group.

I offered to take over the UKTC website but the ISP would only talk to the person paying the bill and no-one seemed to be able to contact him.

Strange that the UKTC seems to be taking off on Facebook. I just hope the new members realise it's a virtual club in name only now.

Adrian.

Peter

If you call BMFA On 0116 244 0028 and state you require non flying insurance they will be more than happy to insure you. I have used them myself now for several years if you ask for their additional card which costs a couple of pounds extra you should receive your insurance certificate with it cover is for the year commencing 1st January.
