Russian Chieftains

Post by John Clarke »

Just finished reading Richard Kent's Impressive Chieftain, Britains Flawed Masterpiece. Foot notes lists Chieftain many film and TV roles too.
It's amazing how many times Chieftain turns up in some of the most popular films of recent times in one form or another. (Usually M1 guise)
My favorites being the farcical Fast and furious 6 and the comical James Bond, Golden Eye. :D
Although in Golden Eye, the Tank driven by the famous spy is a T54/55 or clone, there are three Chieftains dressed up in the tank park.
But the ability to drift comes from the Chieftain tracks fitted to the Russian tank!
Boom, 8)
What a wonderful tank Chieftain is.
Gosh, I feel exhausted every time I watch the clips
