Just saw John's of ECA recent video. Very informative video of how to repair (if required) a slipping gear motor. Might come in handy someday.

Good spot Vince, thank you. The background music is a little annoying mind you! Whats the odds that John, like like most of us, initially took the gearbox straight off in an upward direction and all the gears fell out

I am not sure that hot soldering flux in the slide bearing of the motor is a good thing......
