COVID19
Hello friends,
I don't want to advertise myself, at my age I don't care.
Maybe it's not the correct place or way, but I hope it's useful. Over 350 died yesterday, only in northern Italy. Hospitals are collapsing, there is no place left. There is no place in cemeteries. The crematoria last 24/24 hours. There are no more masks or other medical devices. I don't want to create "PANIC". I am a voluntary rescuer, I know what's going on.
I confess that I am afraid of the situation. My colleagues are also dead. Try to protect yourself as much as possible, stay home, don't meet people. Trust me, it's more serious than what newspapers and governments say. If forum managers find this post inappropriate, delete it, but it would be a big mistake. Stay alert. Ivano
I hope you understand what I wrote

Re: COVID19
Thank you Ivano,
I appreciate the ‘front line’ feedback. If Armortek do decide the thread is inappropriate, I’d be very grateful for a PM update!
Stay safe and thanks for what you are doing.
Best regards,
Simon

Re: COVID19
Hello Ivano,
I'm a Belgian red cross first aid worker. Here we are bracing for what is coming as it has barely started here.
So from one volunteer to another keep up the good work and don't give up. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: COVID19
Hi Tom,
I am a volunteer at the Croce Verde Padova, a regional organization.
Despite 10 days of isolation, infections continue.
Yesterday 348 died, now the virus is spreading like a flood
in southern Italy. We hope to see the stabilization of the infection soon. Unfortunately, it affects not only the elderly and the sick, but also the young and the healthy.

Re: COVID19
Hi Ivano,
thanks to a dear friend, who got involved in the first person,
as you know I live in one of the first red areas,
as Ivano told you, stay at home as much as possible, use protective masks and gloves,
this virus sends hospitals into crisis due to the request for places in intensive care units and resuscitation.
good luck to everyone
Marco

Re: COVID19
Today still 475 dead, the infection does not slow down.
Stay indoors, don't go out unless it's really essential for serious problems. Have awareness for you and for all of us. Ivano

Re: COVID19
I have to come clean... I have been hoarding Armortek kits!
For all my EU friends... stay safe. Lots of urban insanity on this side of the pond, but here at Schloss Nitrocellulose... business as usual, lots of protein on the hoof in the pastures and rural tranquility.
That said, the only easy day was yesterday!
Cheers and here's to better times in a couple of weeks!

Re: COVID19
Today 627 deaths, over 4000 new infections.
Stay at home, don't go out, isolating the infection is essential to get out of the situation.

Unfortunately things in Italy do not improve, today 4821 new infected and 793 dead. Stay home, don't move, avoid contacts.

Re: COVID19
As a group, maybe we can cope with that better than most? I belong to the lucky category who is able to work from home, saving a couple hours of daily commuting. Time that can be spent with interesting stuff, such as model building.

A little too much is about right...

From this morning the territory is militarized,
if they find you on the street, you risk up to 12 years in prison.
Let's see how the day went tonight.

Re: COVID19
Ivano, your messages are very sober reading. I feel for you and your colleagues on the front line, as well as those many people who have lost loved ones. The situation in Italy is really awful and soon the UK could be the same.
Here in Guernsey we thought this small island was relatively safe, but our tests are done in UK and there has been a large backlog. Yesterday some results came back and we went instantly from 2 cases to 17. There are 61 test results still outstanding. The only reassurance for now is that all the infected people caught the virus while away on holiday, business travel etc. All the people who have been tested are in mandatory isolation until they are pronounced clear. Since last week, any person who comes to Guernsey must take 2 weeks isolation whether they have symptoms or not. Our local government have been very proactive introducing these measures but we must not be complacent.
Wherever you are, stay safe.
Kevin

Re: COVID19
Good evening everyone, I hope you are all well.
I don't want to scare you, I don't want to make terrorism, just information on the situation in Italy. Today + 3957 new infections, + 651 deaths.
Do not go out, limit contacts with everyone.
